Bespoke Pieces

CUSTOM-made furniture is one of our favourite, and most popular, services because it involves skills and talents honed over years of working through all the trades in the upholstery business.

Starting out as frame-makers means we can 'see' the frame even as you show us a photo of the design you've fallen for, or we can morph three or four sofa designs into one new 'perfect' piece for you. Even if you select a 'standard' designer chair we can customise it in your choice of fabric to give it a personal flavour.

We also cater for special sizes and space requirements, even going to the length of measuring you and letting you test run suitable pieces in the showroom to assess your personal leg and back length requirements for maximum comfort.

Many of our custom-built pieces have been brought back for recovering, after an average of 10 years or so, some as many as three times for generations of the same family to enjoy.

As houses are bought and sold our customers have told buyers about the piece we designed and built for them which has led to requests for new quotes, often with an 'oh really?' reaction at how cost-effective it can be to create custom-built furniture.
